Nathalie Tissot is an extraordinarius professor of intellectual property law, promotion and possession of intellectual property and of innovation. Her main fields of research are intellectual property, commercial law, new technologies and information technology law, as well as town and country planning.
Nathalie Tissot graduated from law school at the University of Neuchâtel in 1988. She received her doctorate in law from the University of Neuchâtel in 1991 and was admitted to the bar in 1992. She became an assistant professor in 1996 and an extraordinarius professor in 2002. Since 1992 Nathalie Tissot has been practicing as an attorney-at-law. From 1995 to 2005 she was involved in the creation of several startups around the university and negotiated many licensing agreements and contracts. From 2008 to 2012 Nathalie Tissot was vice-chairman of the Centre for Commercial Law, Tax Law and Innovation (CCFI). From 2013 to 2014 she was also a legal advisor for local education offices.
